The SCROMMEL Story
Before designing a totally new reclaimer, we visited with over one hundred of our customers and many of our competitor's customers.  What we found was not pretty.  A high percentage of all reclaimers sold in the last 20 years were not being used.  There were a number of reasons why, but it came down to 3 or 4 critical reasons.  They were maintenance nightmares, they were too complicated, they didn't clean the rock and sand well and a large number of them had inadequate settling basins.  The bottom line was they cost more to run than they were worth.  We also had to decide do we make a unit that re-batches the cement fines or just recover the rock and sand for re-use.  It wasn't even a choice for us.  Most producers are not chemist, and we know how to reclaim.

When we designed the SCROMMEL we made some assumptions
We could not depend on the driver to do anything.

The SCROMMEL would receive virtually no maintenance.
It had to be durable so it wouldn't breakdown.
It had to provide clean rock and sand no matter what was fed into it.
It had to be a Profit Center.

With these assumptions, we designed the SCROMMEL to be fully automatic, turning itself on and off as required.   We know a screw   type reclaimer is durable, and has few maintenance issues.  We then added the second screw, to insure clean sand, no matter what was fed into the first screw.  Finally, we design settling basins that work, and are easily maintained.

Our advantages;

Cleaned rock and sand can be used in your mix designs.  It doesn't have to be stored and then sold as a backfill product.
SCROMMEL reclaimers are available with wear shoes or AR flighting, for areas where granite and other abrasive aggregate is used.
SCROMMEL material discharge heights are high, eliminating the need for additional conveyors or frequent trips by the loader operator.
SCROMMEL reclaimers are flexible; the discharge pan can be rotated right, left or center.  The second screw can be mounted going any direction, except straight back.
The SCROMMEL screen design and placement, eliminates the wear between the screen and screw, while rotating to self clean itself of fibermesh.
SCROMMEL options include 2 and 3  truck discharge models and large discharge hoppers.
SCROMMEL reclaimers are designed to set on a flat pads, using jumbo blocks for support as well as bunker walls,
very . . .practical and cost efficient.
Last and most important, is our service and price.  We have a man on site prior to ordering to make sure the pit system is adequate, and then again upon start up to assist with any questions that may arise.

The SCROMMEL is going on its fourth successful year.  Increased production has helped us control cost.    We have held our prices once again!

Our policy of factory direct selling, helps us keep our sales cost down, by eliminating the 20% sales commissions, which are common in our industry. Again, more important than cost, is service and customer satisfaction.  We deal directly with you, face to face, eliminating misinformation. We offer solutions, not just products.
